I can’t recommend I-95 Home Inspections enough. They’ve inspected two homes for me, and they truly go above and beyond even after the inspection is over. Today, the AC in my new home started giving me issues, and the owner immediately connected me with an HVAC tech who showed up within an hour. He was incredibly helpful and responsive and even offered extra support if I needed it. That kind of service is almost unheard of these days.

Highly recommend. Bought a house in Hyattsville moving from out of state. Ray and I95 were recommended by my realtor. They are fantastic. I just did the walk/talk inspection. 2 hours, very in depth. (He started by showing me Google Earth photos from 5-6 years ago when the house had been gutted/reroofed and remodeled) I'm retired and have been a homeowner for 40 years, but Ray pointed out a bunch of stuff I wouldn't have noticed. Mostly just preventative stuff to stay on top of, but so worth the money. A few things electrical and HVAC-related he recommended having a specialist look at.If you are a first time home buyer, it is the best money you'll spend on your purchase. I talked to Ray about how he trains his people so I feel confident any of his staff would be great. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Ray and Matt at I-95 did an excellent job of inspecting two other properties for me. This time, I was most interested in knowing whether the property would pass muster for an FHA loan. Not only did I learn from I-95's Daniel ("DQ") that it most likely would not, but I also gained enough information that I concluded the home would probably be an unwise purchase at the price I had offered.

Besides noting some issues in the kitchen, where we began the inspection, Daniel ("DQ") of I-95 concentrated on the area of most concern, the extensive back yard deck, and saved me from making an expensive error. He very quickly identified major areas of concern that were heavily termite-damaged, saying that the entire deck would have to be demolished at great expense. DQ also noted that huge heavy-limbed old-growth trees overhung both deck and house--one great branch had already fallen crashing onto the deck. DQ recommended that all the heavy branches be cut back, and noted that due to their extreme size and weight and difficulty of access (narrow street, drive, and houses close together), another very high expense would be involved.

Because these revelations meant I would not be proceeding with the purchase, we terminated the inspection at this point.

Once again, I'm grateful to I-95 and its inspectors. Let me add that they have done a far better job than any of the home inspectors I've had previously in multiple cities and states.

Ray Montminy's casually-named "walk and talk" inspection was anything but casual in its thoroughness.
